History of MCN Lagos West

The Diocese of Lagos West was created on the 10th of August 2006 at the 40th/5th biennial conference of the MCN at Emmanuel Hart cathedral in the Diocese of Uyo. The Diocese comprises of five circuits namely: Palm Avenue, Opebi, Odi-Olowo, Idimu/Egbe & Oke-Afa.

The diocese was inaugurated on the 28th January 2007 at the Palm avenue cathedral in a service presided over by the prelate of MCN, his eminence Dr. S. Ola Makinde and other dignitaries and Archbishops.
